JOB SUMMARY
To assist with the provision of rehabilitation services to patients pre and post-operative under the guidance of a physiotherapist.
Duties|
The management of clubfoot using the Ponsetti method.
The application of back slabs and plaster of Paris.
Training of patients on how to use mobility aides which would have been prescribed for their condition.
Provide a range of physical treatments within their scope of practice to resolve, restore or maintain a physical condition as prescribed by the physiotherapist.
Assisting the physiotherapist in procedures that require multiple personnel to handle the patient.
Adhere to established standard patient care, treatment protocols, and documentation.
Ensure patient needs and progress are communicated to the physiotherapist as appropriate
Maintain accurate treatment notes which give a clinical record of the treatment intervention given.
Demonstrate ongoing personal development by undergoing relevant CPD activities as may be organised inside and outside the hospital.
Report any malfunction of equipment to the appropriate individual as soon as possible.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Physiotherapist.
Minimum Education Required:
Certificate/Diploma from Marondera Rehabilitation Technicians Training School. Current licensure with the Medical Rehabilitation Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe.
Experience required
2 years experience in a rehabilitation facility
