RECREATION ORGANIZER THEATRE AND ARTS DEVELOPMENT
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for appointment to the
post of Recreation Organizer Community Development in the Housing and Social Services
Department.

Reporting To : Social Services and Recreation Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
5 ‘O’ levels including English language with a Grade C or better.
At least a Diploma in Theatre Arts, Performing Studies, Media Arts, or other relevant
program.
At least 2 years post-qualification experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement a comprehensive theatre arts program that caters to individuals
of all ages and abilities within the City of Masvingo.
Coordinate and schedule a variety of theatre arts activities and events, including

Collaborate with local schools, community organizations, and theatre groups to promote
theatre arts participation and talent development.
Recruit and train actors, directors, stage managers, technicians, and volunteers for
theatre productions.
Organize auditions and casting processes for theatrical performances.
Assist in the selection and adaptation of scripts for performances.
Coordinate costume and set design, rehearsal schedules, and technical aspects of

Provide guidance and support to participants throughout the rehearsal and performance
process.
Performs any other duties as delegated by the Social Services and Recreation Assistant
