Receptionist
Old Windsor Primary School is looking for suitable candidates to fill the position of Receptionist. The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors, providing a warm and professional welcome. This role involves managing front desk operations, handling communication, and supporting administrative functions to ensure the smooth running of the school office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk Management: Greet and assist visitors, students, and parents in a courteous and professional manner. Manage visitor logs and ensure security protocols are followed.
  • Communication: Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries. Provide accurate information about school policies, events, and procedures.
  • Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and handling correspondence. Assist with data entry and document preparation.
  • Student and Parent Interaction: Address and resolve routine questions or concerns from students and parents. Notify relevant staff members of student or parent requests.
  • Office Organization: Maintain a clean and organized reception area. Ensure that office supplies are stocked and reordered as needed.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and coordinating school events, meetings, and activities. Prepare materials and support event logistics.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain and update student and staff records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Assist with filing and data management tasks.
  • Emergency Response: Follow school protocols in case of emergencies, including contacting emergency services and notifying relevant personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Administration/Secretarial Studies or related
  • 4 years experience as a Receptionist in a school set up
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a strong customer service orientation.
