To ensure that products and processes conform to required specifications and results through in-process control checks.
Responsibilities
Conduct hygiene audits (Personnel & Workstation) and implementation of 5S.
Pest control and inspection of raw materials at Stores.
Checking process variances. Validating process performance and process control information.
Implementation of HACCP plans in factories.
Incoming raw material inspection as well as trade returns and breakages inspection.
Checking process variances. Validating process performance and process control information.
Final product inspection.
Chemical/microbiological/physical confirmation tests on raw materials and finished goods.
Validation of cleaning of machinery and ensuring work instructions are followed.
Develop and implement Food Safety Management System.
Audit procedures and work instructions performance.
Conduct root cause analysis for non-conforming products or processes. Initiating corrective and preventive actions.
Convene Quality Circle meetings and training.
Investigate customer complaints.
New product development.
Conduct cost saving and successful material substitution trials.
Existing product and process improvement trials
Any other duties assigned by Line Management from time to time.
Qualifications
Minimum Higher National in Diploma Food Technology, Degree in Food Science and Nutrition, Biotechnology or any related field.
