Role Overview
Our client is looking for a highly driven and technically skilled Quality Assurance and Systems Development Manager to join their organisation. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is critical in ensuring product conformance, system compliance, and the ongoing development and improvement of both quality and business systems. If you are passionate about polymer processes, food safety, and systems innovation, this is your chance to lead change and add real value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Quality Control department.
- Support New Product Development initiatives.
- Develop and maintain quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Ensure raw material compliance and product quality requirements are met.
- Represent the company during food safety and systems audits.
- Monitor, report, and act on customer complaints and non-conformances.
- Oversee training programs related to food safety, health & safety, and compliance.
- Report quarterly on food safety systems objectives and action plans.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve QMS and FSMS.
- Develop, revise, and maintain internal systems and procedures.
- Drive systems maturity and align processes with operational goals.
- Liaises and interacts with customers and external suppliers.
- Oversight and management of day-to-day operations of a section of the business.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Diploma/Degree in Polymer Science or Rubber & Plastics Technology.
- Additional qualifications in Total Quality Management (TQM) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quality Management role.
- Strong knowledge of Polymer Processes and Food Safety Standards.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience in managing and auditing Food Safety Systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
