Job Description
Sourcing of Goods and services

1.Obtaining quotations from reputable suppliers, evaluating quotations and negotiating for purchase discounts and payment terms.
2. Approving purchase requisitions in Optima, ensuring that correct material codes have been picked and that quotations from approved suppliers are attached.
3. Ensure a minimum of 3 suppliers on each supplier panel in the approved Suppliers’ List to ensure the company obtains goods/services at competitive prices

Supplier List Management
1.Preparing annual approved suppliers’ list
2. Updating the supplier master data (Banking details changes, main contact changes)
3. Blocking suppliers that have not been used for over 12 months
4. Compile supplier information to be input by Debtors section in SAP (creating and updating)
5. Conduct annual supplier visits and evaluations as required.
6. Provide Optima end-user support

Purchasing Reports and Managing Purchasing Tools
1. Produce and distribute daily outstanding purchase order reports (ME2N)
2. Quarterly updating purchasing savings in AGORA
3. Produce quarterly priority accounting reports, quarterly purchasing dashboard report.
4. Launching tenders (via ARIBA e-Sourcing Tendering tool), analysis and presenting award recommendations to the
Tender Committee
5. Follow up on open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
6. Provide Optima end-user support

Mutual Support and segregation of duties
1. Creating customer accounts in SAP
2. Assisting users in completing Anti-corruption due diligenceSourcing of Goods and services

Context and environment
|Zimbabwe is going through time of extraordinary socio-economic and political changes. The scarcity of hard currency is strongly affecting industry and the overall energy market and will remain a challenge for some years.

Based on the difficult economic environment it is important to expedite purchase orders to meet the terms and conditions of all the quotations and to negotiate better terms and conditions of payment thereby ensuring the company receives goods/services that meet its expectations at the most competitive prices

Candidate profile
Degree in Supply Chain Management and Logistics or equivalent
Minimum One (1) year experience.
Class 4 Driver’s licence
