Public Affairs Assistant – Fixed Term (12 months)
The above-mentioned vacancy has arisen within TIMB, and applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position. The successful candidate will be based at TIMB Head Office.
REPORTS TO: PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Writing and producing presentations, articles, speeches, press releases and any information material related to the Board functions.
Creating and updating information on the organisation’s website.
Managing and engaging with users on social media sites that is X, Facebook and Instagram.
Developing and implementing internal communication strategies to effectively disseminate information to employees.

Designing or project managing the production of visual communications and digital content for the Board’s You Tube page and social media platforms.
Drafting suitable responses for enquiries from the public, the press and related organisations.
Organising and attending events such as press conferences, exhibitions, field days, media interfaces, tours and visits.
Fostering good community relations through involvement in Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
Media and social media monitoring.
Undertaking any duties as assigned by the Public Affairs Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Relevant University Degree in Media studies, Communications, Journalism, or social sciences or equivalent.
At least 2 years relevant work experience.
Design and graphic skills using Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, etc.
