The Project Assistant will be responsible for overseeing assigned projects work plan performance, participating in projects planning, budgeting implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the DTV Project.

KEY STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

Project planning, implementation and monitoring by
Working with line manager to produce periodic project-specific plans and budgets.
Providing support to partner to effectively and efficiently plan, implement, monitor and evaluate project initiatives.
Participating in field activities to monitor implementation of project and assists M&E team to implement M&E tools for impact assessment.
Capacity building by working with Line Manager to identify partner organizations & community training needs and co-facilitates training interventions.

Information Management & Reporting
through collection and collation relevant data for surveys and production of reports,
compilation of project specific reports for submission to Line Manager
Contributing to organizational networking through
supporting partners in establishing and maintaining networks with relevant government departments, policy makers and other key stakeholders.
Identify and facilitate financial inclusion and links relevant institutions.
Participating in developing Concept papers and Project proposals for Fundraising and Sponsorship work.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

A degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project Management or equivalent.
Post graduate qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
Solid knowledge of gender and SRHR sector as evidenced by minimum 3 years, officer level work experience within communities, particularly in promoting and advocating for adolescent sexual reproductive health and rights, gender mainstreaming, protection and capacity development of rights holders.
Knowledge of sexual reproductive health rights and life skills development in youth programming.
Experience in NGO sector or working with other agencies in gender and women’s protection, market systems facilitation, agribusiness or financial services is desirable

Good organizational and planning skills, ability to write concise, analytical, accurate and timely reports.
Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills to develop effective working relationship quickly with people from many different cultural backgrounds.
