A local faith-based organization involved in development, advocacy and humanitarian work seeks to fill the following vacant position(s)
Project Assistant x 1 -Agriculture, Livelihoods and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)
(Gutu and Bikita districts)
Purpose of the position
The Project Assistant is mainly responsible for planning, and implementation of agriculture, livelihoods and DRR component of the program. Conducting community mobilization, beneficiary registrations,
verification, distribution of livelihood inputs and facilitating livelihood trainings field.
Duties:
Conduct community mobilization
Beneficiary selection and registration
Facilitate agriculture, livelihoods and DRR trainings at community level
Facilitate the distribution of agriculture and livelihoods inputs
Create and manage distribution lists for agriculture and livelihood inputs
Conduct beneficiary follow ups and extension support
Compile and submit project reports to the supervisor as required
Collect Stories of Change
Engage with community leaders and project participants in rolling out project activities
Support the Project Officer in stakeholder coordination activities
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Desired Qualifications, technical skills and experience
Bachelors Degree in A g r i c u l t u r e , Food Security, D i s a s t e r ,
D e v e l o p m e n t Studies and other related fields
At least 2 years’ traceable experience in Community Development work in agriculture, livelihoods
and DRR
Ability to perform field assignments and willingness to travel for long period of time in
difficult terrain, harsh and demanding conditions
Ability to ride a motorbike
Good engagement skills with local leaders and beneficiaries
Committed to the humanitarian principles

Remuneration
Remuneration and other benefits will be disclosed and negotiated with selected candidates.
Start Date: Successful applicant is expected to start with immediate effect.
