Zimbabwe National Boxing and Wrestling Control Board (ZNBWCB)

Zimbabwe National Boxing and Wrestling Control Board (ZNBWCB) is a State-Owned Enterprise born out of the Boxing and Wrestling Control Act (Chapter 25:02) with a mandate to oversee and promote the development and promotion of boxing, wrestling and related activities in Zimbabwe. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacancy of the Programmes Officer at Head Office. The incumbent who reports to the Programs Manager, shall be responsible for overall coordination, support, implementation and monitoring of combat sport projects and activities at Head Office.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving and processing athletes’ applications for registration (professional Boxers and Wrestlers, Trainers, Managers, Promoters or Match makers).
  • Processing applications for Tournament Hosting and Clearances for participation in line with policy requirements.
  • Tracks Program Implementation and provides technical support to all stakeholders.
  • Liaise with Athletes’ managers or trainers on contract and medical requirements before the tournament takes place.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records for athlete profiles and performance data for current and future use (profiling and database management)
  • Manage communications with participating partners and other organizations
  • Engagements with key stakeholders to facilitate and improve service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Sport Science, Social Sciences, Physical Studies or equivalent.
  • Minimum two (2) years of professional experience in the field of sport or community development with increasing levels of responsibility in data management.
