following posts that have arisen in the University:
FACULTY OF PLANT AND ANIMAL SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY
PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ SENIOR LECTURER / LECTURER- ANIMAL
PRODUCTION SCIENCES (1 POST)
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have at least a Masters degree in the field of Animal Science or
related discipline. Possession of a PhD in a relevant area is a distinct advantage. A
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Animal Science is a must.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to provide academic leadership to the
Department, guide and contribute to basic and applied research, innovation and
industrialisation programmes in the Department as well as teach the following
courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level: Pig and Poultry Production
Technology; Beef and Small Ruminant Production Technology, and Monogastric
Animal Management. In addition, the candidate will be expected to coordinate and
participate in the supervision of Undergraduate and Postgraduate research students.
University teaching experience is an added advantage.
