Duties / Responsibilities
Maintains the factory in good working order at all times.
Verifies availability of machinery, raw and pack according to the production plan before assigning people to do the job.
Authorizes all picking slips before and after collecting materials from stores
Ensures equipment start-ups within required timelines
Assigns employees tasks according to production plan in an efficient and cost- effective manner.
Effectively controls all inventory coming in to the factory. Ensure waste is kept at a bare minimum.
Keeps an accurate record of inventory movement at all the times
Ensures subordinate effectiveness.
Prepares daily reports detailing achieved results against targets.
Prepares waste and downtime reports.
Assesses problems and make sound recommendations to improve productivity.
Measures performance throughout work shifts, carefully and make necessary corrections to achieve the set goals.
Ensures quality of production is maintained.
Safely manages waste and residual materials.
Ensures all variances are explained within 24 hours of receiving the report.
Prepares job documents for new employees.
Enforces discipline based on the company code of conduct and policies.
Supports the team to meet objectives and established schedules.
Mobilizes employees to maintain and improve processes and performances.
Develops, administers, and monitors remedial action plan for poor performers, if applicable.
Experience and Qualification
Diploma/Degree in Food Science or related
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in FMCG
