JOB SUMMARY
The Production Planner oversees the production process, ensuring resource optimization, timely delivery, and minimal waste, ultimately meeting customer demand and reducing lead times.
JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION PLANNER
LOCATION: PROPLASTICS HARARE
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production Planning – Develop, maintain, and analyze production plans,
schedules, and forecasts in collaboration with cross-functional teams i.e. Sales, Procurement and Production. - Scheduling – Ensure that production schedules are aligned with customer demand and delivery requirements.
- Capacity Planning – Evaluate production capacity and pinpoint opportunities to increase efficiency.
- Monitoring and Control – Track and analyze production performance, including efficiency, productivity, and quality.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- An Honors Degree in Chemical and Process Systems Engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in production planning or operations management
- Proficient in production planning software, such as ERP / MRP
