Job Description
Vaya Technologies Limited is looking for a competent Product Officer to join its Vaya Services
and E-commerce team. The main purpose of the position is to develop and review products
andprocesses for Vaya Services and E-commerce thus propagate sustainable growth in the
customer base and market share through interacting and partnering with various functions and
stakeholders.
Duties And Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Researches and analyses the business environment including product structures and
initiatives and makes recommendations for improving Vaya Services and E-commerce
competitive posture
• Analyses the performance of Vaya Services and E-commerce products relative to
prescribed benchmarks, competitor offerings and makes appropriate recommendations.
• Obtains and analyses market data relating to IOT and E- commerce industry and makes
recommendations to mitigate business risk.
• Assists in developing new-business proposals and presentations that create and nurture
opportunities with prospective customers.
• Develops Insights from Trend Analysis Reports and Recommends a list of innovations
(Ideas) and annual roll out plans for inclusion in the Business.
• Develops and reviews product policy documents to make appropriate recommendations.
Compiles and contributes to product proposals for various stakeholders working together
with other business Functions.
• Produces product uptake performance reports weekly and recommends interventions
where necessary.
• Monitors performance of the various Sales Channels (USSD, Sales Force and Web
portal) in liaison with business analysts.
• Sales Channel Performance reports
• Coordinates and compiles business user requirements and needs for systems and
products.
• Reviews processes that support various products and make recommendations for
optimization of these to improve customer experience and profitability
Qualifications And Experience
Required skills
2-4 to years’ experience in a similar or business development and proven record of innovations
A relevant vocational qualification will be an added advantage.
Degree in Business Studies, Sales & Marketing or equivalent
