QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A first degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management.
- A Master’s degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.
- A professional qualification in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, e.g., CIPS, is a must
- A minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
- Should have good oral and written communication skills.
- Should be a good team player.
- Ability to pay attention to detail in execution of duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Procurement Manager the person will be responsible for:
- Timely actioning of purchase requisitions in the assigned procurement categories and /or campuses.
- Supervision of Procurement Officers in the assigned procurement categories
- Minute taking for Procurement meetings related to PPDPA Act-exempted procurements.
- Leading PMU activities in campuses outside Gweru (where applicable).
- Production of category-specific procurement reports from time to time and as requested.
- Checking of cost comparative schedules, for onward transmission (for approval) to the Procurement Manager.
- Any other duties assigned by the Procurement Manager.
