JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to excellence to join Proplastics as a Procurement Officer. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end procurement process, encompassing contract negotiations, vendor selection, and price and payment discussions, while ensuring all authorised purchases meet our high standards of quality and cost-effectiveness.
JOB TITLE: Procurement Officer X 1
LOCATION: Harare
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Formulating and implementing procurement policies and procedures.
- Gathering quotations for price comparison to ensure cost-efficient buying.
- Supplier Evaluation
- Managing stocks, ensuring that periodic stock takes, tracing any variances, and
doing reconciliations. - Maintaining a filing system and having accurate purchasing and pricing records.
- Ensuring that all approved purchase requisitions are actioned on time.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or related.
- Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in a procurement role.
- A clean class 4 driver’s license.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Independent, flexible, mature self-starter with the ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimum to low supervision.
