Responsibilities
Managing the entire purchasing function of the organization.
Optimization of inventory through continuous inventory level management.
Continuous reviews of the system’s parts/stocks re-order levels and replenishment of stockrooms plus management of pre-paid order to suppliers ensuring all orders are completed on time.
Inventory health checks and critical point monitoring.
Sourcing, engaging & building a strong strategic key supplier base by establishing long standing relations through supplier performance management with both local and international supplier.
Monitor and record supplier performance to assess supplier’s ability to meet quality and delivery requirements continuously
Attend to all procurement reporting requirements; monthly and adhoc.
Follow up on payments made to suppliers and ensure that suppliers are paid on time and within agreed time frames and adherence to credit terms/facilities offered.
Assist in ensuring the communication and understanding of the objectives throughout the Department.
Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Business Management/Purchasing & Supply from a recognized institute.
Excellent skills in communication, analytical, well-structured, and organized
Excellent in Microsoft excel
At least two years’ experience in mining /construction environment
Prepared to work weekends/holidays as and when required
