POULTRY FARM MANAGER
Experienced farm manager to work on a road runner and broiler commercial growing farm based in Zvishavane. The job requires a strong focus on team culture , safety and fast paced , you will be required to be both physically and mentally fit to ensure you become an integral part of the team and culture moving forward.
Candidate ought to be a self-motivated and highly proactive leader capable of working with a diverse team to achieve desired outcomes.
Duties &Responsibilities will include;
- Lead and motivate a small team
- Maintain the health and well being of livestock
- Follow and implement all company policiesand procedures with regard to animal welfare , WHS, environmental and biosecurity
- Ensure production data is maintained
- Attend any meetings and training as required
- Minimum 15 years experience
- The daily requirements are for the welfare of chickens , checking sheds , collecting deads , running computer programs , ordering feed and gas and faxing sending weekly reports to the producer when needed.
- Timely feeding – water & food
- ensure all aspects of running poultry farm are met.
direct and coordinate work activities
hatcher and incubator control a must
Essential Skills:
- previous poultry livestockmanagement experience
- ability to manage a small team (be able to communicate effectively with all team members
- proactive time management skills (be able to priorities duties)
- decent level of computer literacy and above average level of numeracy skills
- current drivers licence
- ability to forward plan
- attention to detail
- safety focused
- decent mechanical skills
