Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following posts:

The duties and responsibilities of a Lecturer are grouped into 5 main categories which are:

(a) Teaching – the incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and or Faculty guidelines and standards.

(b) University Service and Community engagement – the incumbent should participate in all Department, Faculty/School and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conferences and seminars, among others.

(c) Research – the incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialization which benefits both the students and the University.

(d) Innovations – leading to tangible products and services

(e) Industrialisation –through commercialisation of products

FACULTY OF ARTS AND HUMANITIES
DEPARTMENT OF DEVELOPMENT STUDIES – (HARARE CAMPUS – 3 posts; ZVISHAVANE CAMPUS – 3 posts)
Post: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor

Qualifications and Experience
BA Honors Degree in Development Studies with at least a 2.1 pass.
Masters’ Degree in Development Studies with at least a merit.
PhD in Development Studies or relevant field is an added advantage.
A good track record in research and publication is an added advantage.
Tertiary level teaching experience or strong development programming, or monitoring and evaluation experience is desirable.

Duties and responsibilities
The candidate must be capable of supervising research work and teach undergraduate and postgraduate in the following areas;

Monitoring and Evaluation
Financial Management for Development Practitioners
Development Accounting and Finance
ICT for Development Practitioners (including data gathering and analysis soft wares used in development practice).
Research methods for development
Project planning and management
Community health and development
Resource mobilization for development processes
Children and development
Data analytics for Development processes
Development Planning
Globalisation and Development
International Relations
International Trade and Development
Local government management
Strategic planning for development entities
