Job Summary:
The Policy and Advocacy Assistant will support the Policy and Advocacy Project Officer in implementing WCoZ’s advocacy strategies and policy initiatives. The role involves research, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and coordination of advocacy activities to advance women’s rights and gender equality in Zimbabwe.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct research on gender-related policies, laws, and issues affecting women and girls in Zimbabwe.

Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in public policy, Political Science, Gender Studies, Law, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in policy analysis, advocacy, or a related role, preferably within the NGO sector.
Skills: Strong research and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to engage
with diverse stakeholders, Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, knowledge of gender issues and women’s rights in Zimbabwe.
Personal Attributes: Passionate about gender equality and women’s rights, Proactive and able to work
independently as well as part of a team, Detail-oriented and well-organized, Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
