PLANT TECHNICIAN (1 Post)
Summary
The plant technician is responsible for overseeing and maintenance of all processing equipment in the Chemical Manufacturing and Food Processing Plants.
Qualifications and Experience
At least Diploma in Instrumentation and control systems or related field
At least one year relevant experience in the field.
Skills and Competences
Working knowledge of technical and peripheral devices
Must be knowledgeable of health and safety compliance issues in the manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent will have a wide range of responsibilities, which include:
Installation of new plant machinery
Technical maintenance of plant machinery
Maintaining, repairing and optimizing plant and associated devices swiftly thereby reducing downtime
Advising management on the latest and cost-effective machinery
Contributing to continuously improvement of the plant, processes and systems
Providing technical support and enhancing machinery, systems and process capabilities
Making technical recommendations of changes required by production team
Ensuring that all the equipment is calibrated and functional according to their specifications.
