POST A: PLANT OPERATOR X (2)
SUMMARY
The Plant Operator is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and continuous operation of manufacturing processes in the Chemical Manufacturing Unit and the Food and Beverages Unit .
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A National Certificate / Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, Process Engineering or any other reloperengated field.
- At least one year of post-qualifying working experience as a plant operator in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of process control systems and equipment.
- Ability to interpret and follow technical manuals, schematics, and standard operating procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Production Manager- Chemical Unit, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:
- Operating blow moulding machine and other plant equipment.
- Monitoring and controlling plant equipment and systems to maintain optimal production.
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting issues and responding to emergencies to minimize downtime.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Recording data and reporting on operational performance.
- Collaborating with teams to improve processes and productivity.
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor/ Manager.
