REPORTING TO : PRINCIPAL TRANSPORT PLANNER
LOCATION : CLEVELAND HOUSE
DEPARTMENT : WORKS
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the
above mentioned vacancies in the Traffic and Transportation Section of Town Planning
Division in the Department of Works in City of Harare.
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for administering outdoor advertising, vehicular parking requirements and
operations, research and development of parking and transportation issues, road and road
infrastructure planning and designing.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Implements traffic control measures in the City.
Supervises researches on traffic and transport issues.
Administers outdoor advertising.
Deals with parking requirements and operations.
Supervises and monitors public transport services.
Liaises with public transport operators on their needs.
Facilitates the provision of adequate public transport services.
Staff development and performance management within the context of IRBM.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning or related field.
Minimum Two (2) years post qualification experience appropriate to the
discipline
Membership to a relevant Institution.
Clean Class 4 Driver’s license.
