Person Specification
The ideal candidate must possess five ‘O’ Level passes, including English Language, along with a National Diploma in Secretarial Studies. The candidate should have at least three years of post-qualification experience. A degree in Commerce, Social Sciences, or an equivalent field will be considered an asset. Prior experience as a Personal Assistant will be an added advantage.
The applicant must demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, a strong personality, and the ability to multitask effectively. They should be able to collaborate well with others, learn quickly and efficiently, exercise sound judgment, work independently with minimal supervision, and exhibit self-confidence.
DUTIES
Assisting the Pro-Vice Chancellor with Innovation, Enterprise Development and Industrialisation issues across the University as well as implementation of Education 5.0
Maintaining diaries and making appointments for the Pro-Vice Chancellor;
Arranging travel, visas and accommodation for the Pro-Vice Chancellor;
screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate;
Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing;
Dealing with incoming mail and correspondence;
Carrying out background research and presenting findings;
Organizing meetings for the Pro-Vice Chancellor;
Liaising with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders on matter in the PVC’ s office;
Monitoring the budget of the Pro-Vice Chancellor’s office;
Performing any other related duties as may be required from time to time.
