DIVISION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS – PART TIME SUBWARDENS: RESIDENT (5 male, 5 female) NON-RESIDENT (1 male, 1 female)
Person Specification
- Must be a registered conventional student.
- Must have a good academic record and have not appeared before any University Disciplinary Committee
- Has spent at least one semester as a student at this University.
- Should be able to spend a full academic year in the post of Subwarden.
- Experience in Hall of Residence administration is an added advantage.
Duties
- Assist the Warden with the social administration and organisation of the Hall of Residence.
- Maintenance of discipline in the Hall of Residence.
- Supervision and ensuring that the Halls are always clean, rules and regulations as stated in the Rules of Student Conduct and Disciplinary
- Ordinance and Hall of Residence Constitution are observed.
- Reporting any cases of misdemeanor to the Hall of Residence Warden quickly without fear or favour.
- Ensuring students participate in student development programmes.
- Ensuring that a living and learning environment is maintained in their hall
- Encourages residents to be security and safety conscious.
- Report to Warden any students who need counseling.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the head of Department
- Assisting the Warden in securing off-campus accommodation for non-resident students
- Organizing Student Development Programmes and activities for non-resident students
- Integrating non-resident students with resident students
