Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons to fill the position of Painter that has arisen
in the university.
WORKS AND ESTATES DEPARTMENT
Painter (1 Post)
Duties
• Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scrapping, using sandpaper and removing old paint;
• Attending to all internal painting queries as and when necessary;
• Identifying materials to be purchased and selecting the correct painting materials;
• Filling cracks and holes with appropriate materials;
• Mixing paint and materials so as to prepare the right color and texture;
• Applying vanish and other finishes on different surfaces;
• Adhering to all health and safety precautions;
• Any other duties as assigned by the Construction Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have at least a Journeyman Class One/Two Certificate Painter and two (2) years
working experience. In addition, applicants must have five (5) ordinary level passes including
English Language.
