Office Management Assistant (POL/ECON/FO)-Open to USEFMs only
Duties
Under the supervision of the Political/Economic (deputy) counselor, the Office Management Assistant provides the sole administrative and office management support to the fifteen-person Political/Economic team and backs up the small Grants team and Front Office Management Specialist (OMS) position. For access to classified information, the incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
The position will be situated in the Classified Access Area (CAA).
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Two years’ experience in a Professional Office Environment is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Good working knowledge of the applicable FAM & FAH. Familiarity with U.S. Government travel and budget regulations, systems and voucher processes. General Knowledge of host country political/economic environments & cultural awareness.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma is REQUIRED.
NOTE: Submitted documents not in English must be accompanied by a certified translation.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: English, Level IV (Fluency) Speaking/ Reading/ Writing is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent customer service skills and effective English-Language writing skills are essential in order to draft, edit and proofread correspondence and documents. Ability to work as part of a team and good oral communication skill are required. Strong keyboarding skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Software Suite with confidence, including Word, Excel and Power Point are required. Understanding of cloud computing storage and interfaces including, but not limited to, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
This may be tested.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Harare may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
