Reporting to the Senior Occupational Therapist, the successful candidate will manage and apply comprehensive and effective goal-oriented activities so that optimum functionality is restored, disability prevented and health maintained.

Evaluate all patients referred for occupational therapy and establish a database which will identify real problems.
Provide counselling to injured workers to prevent psychological deterioration and increase motivation of patients.
Conduct work and home visits to ensure injured workers resettle well at home and work.
Conduct work assessments simulating the work environment to ensure successful work placement.
Train injured workers on how to cope with disability.
Consult in areas of occupational therapy and rehabilitation within the company and outside.
Compile and submit all statistics and reports required by management and key stakeholders.

A Degree in Occupational Therapy.
3-5 years rehabilitation experience in a hospital setup.
Problem identification and analysis.
Ability to conceptualise human personality, behaviour and physics function.
Very good counselling skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Good communication skills.
Ability to influence others.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Computer literacy.
