Job Description:

LOCATION: Nyashanu AP

JOB PURPOSE

To facilitate the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of Livelihoods Technical Project (TP) activities at the Area Programme (AP) level using recommended programming models while ensuring age-appropriate participation of children during project implementation.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management

  • Implement relevant Technical Project activities in the AP with technical support from the Technical Manager.
  • Facilitate assessments, baselines, and evaluation processes in the AP.
  • Deliver project resources to intended beneficiaries following World Vision guidelines.
  • Ensure age-appropriate participation of children in TP activities.

Community Engagement and Networking

  • Engage stakeholders such as Ministry of Education officials, Rural District Councils, and community structures to align programming with government policies and community visions.
  • Conduct community mobilization and sensitization on Technical Projects.
  • Raise awareness of child protection and gender issues and advocate for advocacy and Gift-in-Kind (GIK) initiatives.

Community Capacity Building and Programme Accountability

  • Conduct training for targeted communities on project models and build their capacity for sustainable development.
  • Empower communities on programme accountability pillars like information provision, consultation, participation, and feedback.

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Conduct day-to-day monitoring of TP activities and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
  • Document and upload impact data, Most Significant Change (MSC) stories, and annual reports into Horizon.

Annual Budgeting and Implementation

  • Facilitate annual reviews and develop Detailed Implementation Plans.
  • Prepare activity-based budgets and ensure full implementation of approved plans.

Administrative Work

  • Monitor data entry, documentation, and filing of reports.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of project resources.
  • Maintain quality records of beneficiaries and project activities.

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Livelihoods, Natural Resources, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or equivalent.

Experience: At least two years in community development work.

Skills:

  • Community engagement, facilitation, and stakeholder networking.
  • Project management, including planning and reporting.
  • Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and willingness to stay in rural areas.
  • Proficiency in English and the local language.
  • A clean Class 4 driver’s license.
