NETWORK SPECIALIST

An exciting career opportunity has arisen within First Capital Bank for the role
of Network Specialist. We are seeking a highly skilled Network Specialist to
join our IT team. As a Network Specialist, you will be responsible for the
design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization’s networks.
Your expertise in networking protocols, security, and performance
optimization will ensure the efficient operation of our network infrastructure

Key Responsibilities
• Design, install, and configure network infrastructure
and components, including routers, switches, firewalls,
and wireless access points.
• Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring
uptime and stability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, escalating to
senior engineers as needed.
• Implement network security measures, including
firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Perform regular network audits and provide reports on
system health and performance.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth
integration and operation of all network components.
• Document network configurations, changes, and
procedures.
• Provide support on IT Network issues to internal
colleagues.
• Stay updated with emerging networking technologies
and industry trends.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information
Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in networking and IT infrastructure
management.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or
similar are highly desirable.

Experience and Competency required:
• A minimum of three years’ experience in the role.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication to
interact with clients, staff and senior management.
• Proven leadership, sales, and operational management
skills.
• Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and
regulations.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and critical
thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize
tasks, and meet deadlines.
