We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed individuals to join our Dynamic Team Members for the position(s) below.

Network Administrator (Grade C5)
The incumbent will be responsible to the Broadband & Data Services Manager Operations.

Basic Function

Plans, controls, and directs installation, maintenance, and operation of TelOne Data and Broadband Network.

Major activities of the job

Performs Internet Protocol address management and assignment as and when required.
Maintains routing protocols, routing configuration network servers such as DNS servers and NMS servers.
Plans, coordinates, and implements network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
Recommends changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determines. hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
Monitors network performance to determine updates and adjustments that need to be done,
and to determine and recommend network upgrades Analyses equipment performance records to determine the need for repair or replacement.
Makes follow-ups on outstanding faults with Access Network or Data Operations daily.
Attends to international Internet faults by diagnosing the faults whilst abiding by the stipulated restoration times in the service level agreements with upstream providers e.g. WIOCC.
Sets performance objectives for staff and monitor staff performance monthly.
Maintains the Internet Core Network.
Administers SLAs to TelOne customers by speedy restoration of service where it is faulty and speedy provision of new services.
Completes all related tasks as and when required.

Qualifications/Experience

A Degree in Computer Science /Electronics Engineering /Electrical Engineering /Telecommunications/Information Systems OR
City and Guilds Full Technological Certificate /Full Technological Diploma
3 years working experience in an Internet – Data environment
