We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer to join our team as a volunteer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to contribute to a global cause, gain hands-on experience, and help us measure the impact of our programs in real-time.

Position Summary:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for ensuring the effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of Global Deaf Network’s programs and initiatives. The role involves working closely with the program teams to track progress, collect and analyze data, and report findings to improve the impact and sustainability of our work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement monitoring and evaluation systems and frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of Global Deaf Network programs.
  • Develop and manage data collection tools, surveys, and databases to capture relevant data.
  • Analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare and present regular monitoring and evaluation reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the development of program indicators and ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with program managers to ensure that lessons learned are integrated into future program planning and implementation.
  • Provide recommendations to improve program efficiency and impact.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in development work, human rights, and disability advocacy, particularly related to the deaf community.
  • A background in Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields (preferred).
  • Experience in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of data collection methods, analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., SPSS, Excel, or other M&E software).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Passion for promoting inclusivity and social change.
