Mobile Crane Operator
About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Crane Operator to join our Engineering team, reporting to the Mechanical Foreman.
Roles & Responsibilities
Conducting pre-checks on the crane highlighting defects to Artisans;
Driving and operating the crane to designated sites to perform all lifting and transportation duties within the Mine premises;
Operating specialized machinery such as telescope booms and hydraulic cranes;
Transporting, loading and offloading plant equipment and machinery within the mine and performing daily checks on all equipment;
Ascertaining load capacity, determining weight of items to be moved in relation to the maximum capacity of the crane based
on manufacturer specifications;
Inspecting clearances, overhead lines, and other possible obstructions to ensure that there are no accidents involving
employees, buildings, loads, or equipment;
Inspecting and assessing ground conditions to ensure that the crane can be set up safely;
Inspecting cranes for defects and wear prior to operation;
Complying with all applicable FRGM SHEQ laws, guidelines, and Engineering best practices.
About You
Must have 5’0′ Levels including Mathematics and English;
Mobile Crane Operator’s Certificate;
A minimum of 5 years’ experience preferably in the Construction and Mining Sectors.
First Aid Course.
