Job Summary:
An emerging mining company seeks an experienced, hands-on Mine Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our mining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overall operations of the mine ensuring safe, efficient and profitable extraction of minerals
- Supervise on-site personnel.
- Liase with regulatory bodies and ensure legal compliance.
- Monitor equipment usage and coordinate maintenance needs.
- Enforce strict safety, health and environmental compliance.
- Report operational performance to senior management.
Candidate Specifications:
- 5 ‘O’ levels, including Mathematics and English
- Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering or any other related field .
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the Mining Industry of which 5 years must be at Senior level.
- Holder of a clean Class 2 or 4 Driver’s License.
- Holder of Full Blasting License (FBL)
- Holder of NEC Mining Certificate of Learnership.
- Proficiency in specific software tools used in mining (CAD and simulation tools)
- Must have extensive knowledge in the mining of gold, shaft timbering, shaft opening and mineral processing.
- Physical stamina
- Reliable, ability to make strategic decisions, prioritize tasks and manage risks
