Golden Valley Mine situated approximately 18km North-West of Kadoma along Chakari Road has the following vacancy within its Technical Services Department.
MINE GEOLOGIST x 1
Responsibilities:
Integrating, processing, and disseminating accurate geological information on underground
development, stoping and surface exploration, Carrying out mineral resources and mineral reserves estimation using computerized geostatistical methods,
Responsible for Grade Control & Ground Control for both underground and open pit operations, Planning short-term and long-term production and development programs,
Supervising Geotechnicians, DD crews, Samplers and data capturing crews, Management of SHEQ in areas of responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements
BSc Hons degree in Geology. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a narrow reef mining setup, preferably in a Gold
Mining environment. Knowledge and experience with geological software such as Datamine is a prerequisite.
Knowledge of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality management systems.
Conversant with Microsoft Office packages.
