The University of Zimbabwe is inviting suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the following positions that have arisen in the Directorate for Research Innovation and Industrialisation,
MILLWRIGHT/MACHINE SHOP ENGINEER (3 POSTS)
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, Innovation Hub Manager and Research Specialists, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:
1. Installing, maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical systems in the machine shop.
2. Supporting prototyping and fabrication of components for research and innovation projects.
3. Collaborating with engineers, researchers, and innovators to optimize machine performance and ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices
4. Keeping detailed and accurate equipment inventory, maintenance report and documentation.
5. Performing other related duties assigned.
Qualifications And Experience
A minimum of Diploma in Machine-shop Engineering or related field with 2 years’ relevant work experience
