MID-WIFE
Instacare Medical Investments is searching for a Midwife to promote and restore patients’ health by completing the nursing process, performing deliveries, collaborating with Physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends and families.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Conducting patient intubation in emergencies.
2. Conducting deliveries.
3. Implementing maternity procedures for mothers in delivery, recommending caesarian cases for complicated deliveries.
4. Monitoring patient pregnancy progression and recommends appropriate interventions
5. Ordering and administering drugs
6. Recording all necessary patient vitals at prescribed intervals as ordered by Doctor/ specialist
7. Ensuing all necessary laboring mother restrainers are available
8. Ensuring all necessary bed patient restrainers are in place for unstable patients
9. Taking care of the babies delivered
10. Observing and documenting baby Apgar score level.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing Post basic diploma in Midwifery
- Valid Practicing certificate
- At least 2 years experience post
- Midwifery diploma.
- Other qualifications are an added advantage.
Key Competencies
1. The ideal candidate should possess both clear verbal and written communication skills, with a capability to produce accurate reports
2. They should be able to analyze and solve work-related problems to achieve the correct outcomes .
