As a Conveyor Engineer at our company, you will get the chance to assist in the speedy delivery of product parts to different areas around the factory and completed products to the despatch areas. With all these different responsibilities, your day-to-day life can be fast-paced and varied.
Responsibilities
1. To ensure that the beds reach the proper end destination within the factory by changing the position of spouts, bars, gates and chutes as needed.
2. To verify the weight of certain products by reading the scale on the conveyor to make sure the system is not overloaded with goods.
3. To adjust equipment speeds and positions to improve the efficiency of the conveyor system and to make sure none of the materials get damaged on the ride.
4. To keep detailed records about material specifications, downtime reasons and equipment problems to make the transition between shifts go smoothly.
5. To use brooms, hoses and lubricants to keep the conveyor equipment clean and well-maintained on a daily basis as needed.
6. To determine transfer and sorting procedures by communicating with the Production supervisors and reading production schedules to make sure the proper destinations are reached.
7. To clear jams and remove damaged materials by stopping the conveyor and using hand tools, poles and bars.
8. To collaborate with workers from other departments to request the movement of certain materials or inform them of incoming automation changes.
Required:
(a). 5+ years prior experience with Foshan Yikai or Eachsun mattress conveyor systems is a MUST.
(b). Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical or Manufacturing Technology is highly preferred.
(c). Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.
(d). Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
(e). Knowledge of design software, embroidery software, MS windows, and MS Office.
(f). Knowledge of APQP, manufacturing and quality processes and capabilities.
