We are on the lookout for a highly motivated and experienced Market Expansion Analyst to join our Investments Cluster on a one-year contract.
Main purpose of the Job
The Market Expansion Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the company’s growth strategy by identifying, evaluating, and executing opportunities for market expansion. This role involves analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to guide decision-making and drive expansion efforts.
Day in the life of a Market Expansion Analyst
- Conducts thorough research to identify potential markets for expansion, including geographical regions, product segments, or industries.
- Analyse market trends, customer preferences, competitors, and industry dynamics to identify opportunities and threats.
- Provide actionable insights on market size, growth potential, and customer behaviour.
- Carry out feasibility studies for all target territories.
- Evaluate various market entry modes (e.g., direct investment, partnerships, etc)
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis to assess the feasibility of entering new markets, including financial projections for revenue, costs, and profitability.
- Develops financial forecasts and cost-benefit analysis for market expansion.
- Creates financial models to predict revenue potential, costs, and profitability and returns on investment thus supporting decision making.
- Monitors industry trends, customer needs, and shifts in the market landscape to provide early insights on opportunities or risks.
- Prepares reports, presentations, and dashboards to summarize research findings, competitive analysis, financial forecasts, progress on market expansion projects and recommendations for leadership.
- Tracks and monitors the success of market expansion efforts through data and performance metrics.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum-Bachelor’s degree Economics, Finance, Business, Accounting or equivalent.
- An added advantage if studying towards CFA charter.
- 1+ year of work experience.

- International trade finance
- Proficiency in spreadsheet and presentation tools.
