Manager, Marketing, Communications and Public Relations
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position which has arisen at the Women’s University in Africa.
The Manager, Marketing, Communications and Public Relations will report to the Director, Marketing, Communications and Public Relations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyse and report performance of internal and external marketing, communication and public relations initiatives across the university;
- Establish partner relationships at local, national and international level to strengthen the position of the University as a renowned partner;
- Analyse and report performance of internal and external marketing, communication and public relations initiatives across the University;
- Collect and report market data across the University in terms of brand visibility;
- Track and report budget performance for Marketing, Communications and Public relations department;
- Analyse and report the impact of marketing, communications and public relations systems in compliance with gender and diversity responsive policies, standard operating procedures and related statutes;
- Execute the University’s Gender and Diversity responsive marketing, communications and public relations master plan;
- Analyse and report the performance of Marketing, Communications and Public Relations teams; and
- Work synergistically with other managers in departments for the improvement of marketing, communications and public relations across the University.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Masters’ degree in any of the following fields: Marketing, Communications or Public Relations;
- A first degree in any of the following fields: Marketing, Communications or Public Relations;
- Sound understanding of legal and financial aspects of Marketing, Communications and Public Relations transactions;
- Working knowledge of marketing, communications and public relations metrics;
- At least three (2) years post-qualification working experience, one (1) of which is in business leadership reflecting at least one (1) marketing process modelling software application;
- Experience in managing a Marketing, Communications and Public relations department informed by forward planning and forecasting;
- Demonstrated experience in developing data collection and reporting tools, preferably at a tertiary education institution; and
- Demonstrated experience in assessing a team, preferably at a tertiary education institution.
- Strong capabilities to integrate marketing, communications, and public relations disciplines and practices;
- Effective interpersonal and intrapersonal skills; and
- Ability to work in pressured environments.
