MANAGER, INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
Reports to: Director, International Affairs, Marketing and
Communications
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting in the drafting and implementation of MOUs,
MOAs, collaborations and partnerships with international
stakeholders. - Promoting the University’s brand and reputation on the
global stage through strategic communication and
marketing initiatives. - Marketing of the University’s products and programmes
regionally and internationally. - Assisting staff and students to get opportunities for
international exposure through exchange programmes and
internationalisation workshops. - Provide guidance and support to students and staff on
international travel, visas and other related logistical
aspects. - Liaising with University and Ambassadorial Offices to
support international engagement. - Scheduling appointments for the Director to interact with
renowned International Universities for various activities
related to academics, research, and students’ careers by
signing MoUs. - Mobilising partnerships with the UZ International Alumni
community. - Maintaining a UZ International Alumni database and
mobilising for Alumni subscriptions. - Carring out initiatives to increase international student
enrolment and enhance the diversity of the University
community. - Working with ICT Services to ensure the University website
is up to date. - Engaging in research and identifying opportunities for
collaboration with the international community. - Carring out preparations to host International visitors to the
University. - Performing any other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Public Administration/ Communications/ Public Relations/
Media Studies/ Journalism or any related field. - A Master’s degree preferably in International Relations or
related field. - Proficiency in one or more foreign languages.
- Minimum three years of related professional work
experience and expertise in strategic communications.
