Job Summary
We’re looking to hire a skilled personal chef Based in Harare.
In this position, it will be your job to prepare meals that match our clients’ specific dietary needs and requests.
Your responsibilities will include planning meals, shopping for ingredients, and preparing dishes for your clients to consume with minimal cooking required on their end.
You must have a passion for creating delicious meals and be comfortable cooking in private kitchens including the client’s work place.
You will also be asked to cook for events that our clients are hosting, such as dinner parties and special gatherings.
To do this, you’ll need to be able to scale up your cooking processes to meet the needs of large crowds. You will have to ensure that your menu satisfies all of the client’s guests’ dietary needs and taste preferences.
To do well as a personal chef, you will need to have a deep familiarity with various types of cuisines and cooking methodologies.
You should be comfortable with cooking dishes in a variety of styles and capable of doing so with a high degree of quality.
Clients expect you to clean the cooking area and store all kitchen equipment and utensils. Accommodation is provided, the candidate should be prepared to travel with the client when need arise.

Duties and Responsibilities
Discuss meal preferences and expectations with clients
Research food and equipment suppliers
Order ingredients and other materials needed for meal preparation
Examine orders for accuracy and freshness
Cook delicious meals according to your client’s schedule
Plate and serve the meals to your clients
Clean the kitchen cooking area and store utensils and cooking equipment
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Food safety training or certification
Experience as a personal or restaurant chef
Knowledge of a variety of dietary lifestyles and restrictions
Ability to cook different types of cuisines
Valid driver’s license
Aged 35+
