We are seeking a highly responsible and detail-oriented Loss Control Officer to join our team. The role involves safeguarding the company’s assets, reducing risks, and ensuring the safety of employees and customers by implementing effective loss prevention measures. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen sense of responsibility, and experience in security or risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to theft, fraud, or vandalism and take preventative measures to minimize loss.
Surveillance: Monitor CCTV footage, conduct regular patrols, and observe store or facility activities to detect and prevent illegal or suspicious activities.
Investigations: Investigate incidents of loss, theft, or breach of security protocols, documenting findings and reporting to senior management.
Asset Protection: Ensure company property, inventory, and facilities are protected from internal and external threats.
Audits and Reports: Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to loss prevention protocols and provide detailed reports on losses and recovery.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to security and loss prevention.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including security and management, to develop and implement effective loss control strategies.
Training: Train staff on loss prevention measures, emergency procedures, and security best practices.
Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or security breaches and coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in security, risk management, or loss prevention.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick, effective decisions.
Knowledge of security systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, and access control.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field (preferred).
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role or related field.
