Job Opportunity: Logistics Supervisor – Harare
We are a dynamic and growing trucking business based in Graniteside, Harare, specializing in hauling cargo loads between Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Zambia. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a reliable and organized Logistics Coordinator to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Load Sourcing: Play an active role in sourcing loads, and liaise with clients and brokers.
  • Driver Management: Selection and hiring of new drivers, ensuring they meet company standards. Day-to-day management of trucking operations.
  • Loading Instructions: Plan and instruct drivers on proper loading procedures. Communicating loading instructions to drivers in liaison with the Clients.
  • Pre & Post Trip Management: Pre-trip budgeting for tolls and post-trip receipt reconciliation.
  • Driver Monitoring: Book out drivers, monitor driver behaviour, and ensure compliance with company guidelines and national legislation.
  • Vehicle & Fuel Tracking: Monitor tracking systems to safeguard against fuel siphoning and cargo tampering.
  • Client Communication: Provide timely updates to clients regarding cargo status in transit and at offloading sites to minimize turnaround time.
  • Truck Maintenance: Plan and procure truck spares, manage repairs, and ensure vehicle maintenance is up to date.
  • Document Management: Prepare border waybills, manifests, and CD3 documents, liaise with border agents to ensure swift cargo transit.
  • Speed & Compliance Monitoring: Track truck movements to ensure adherence to company speed limits and other regulations.
  • Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks to support the smooth running of logistics operations.

Qualifications:

  • Transport & Logistics Degree/Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in logistics or transportation coordination.
  • In-depth understanding of port and customs procedures.
  • Clean Class 4 driver’s license.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work under pressure.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, drivers, and other stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with cross-borderrelated documents and systems (e.g., border waybills, manifests, Korridor).
  • Accuracy in managing data and schedules.
