A boutique law firm in Harare is looking for an experienced registered legal practitioner to join its growing team. The candidate must be a self-starter, result oriented and have aggressive client focus dedicated to understanding and meeting expectations of clients, possessleadership and good management skillsand must be able to manage their own diary by setting priorities, manage schedules so that they are able to attend to all the duties and responsibilities.
Key Deliverables
To be successful in the role the ideal candidate must be able to
• Handle the full spectrum of litigation work (receiving instructions, research, and drafting court papers, appearing in all levels of the courts)
• Client relationship management through establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients. (excellent communication skills required)
• Drafting and negotiating agreements drafting well researched legal opinions
• Transaction advisory, provide real-time commercial advice
• Adapt and research new areas of law relevant to the business and preparing billing and management reports.
• Contribute to the development of workflows and processes needed to scale the litigation team efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) and at least three years experience,
• Possesses the legal technical skill to understand client requirements in order to deliver excellent client service and legally sound documents and advice
• Ability to apply theory in a practical and commercially astute manner-Commercial awareness
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, and Interpersonal skills.
• Set high goals or standards of performance for self, producing work timeously, accurately and of a consistently high standard.
• Experience in client acquisition is an added advantage
• Have some experience managing staff and carrying out administrative oversight of a law office
• High level of integrity and professional accountability
