Applicants must have a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Science or Animal Health and an MSc in Veterinary Sciences/ or Animal Health/ Animal Science/ or equivalent.
Possession of a PhD in Veterinary Sciences/ or Animal Health/ or Animal Science will be an added advantage.
Successful applicants must be able to teach a minimum of three of the following modules per semester: Parasitology, Animal Health and Welfare, Veterinary Diagnostics and Pharmacology, Veterinary Immunology, Veterinary Epidemiology and Public Health.
Evidence of scholarly contribution is required in at least two (2) refereed journals. He/she is also expected to have strong research skills which will enhance and complement the department’s existing research strength.
The candidate should have teaching experience at university level.
Experience and Qualities
University teaching experience is a distinct advantage.
Experience in Research and Innovation.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Duties and Responsibilities
Contribute significantly to teaching and curriculum development activities.
Actively engage in research, innovation and commercialisation/ industrialisation activities in specific areas of specialisation leading to tangible products and services.
The successful candidates will be expected to supervise undergraduate and or post graduate student projects.
Participate in community outreach activities.
Participate income generating activities.
