SIS Inspections Zimbabwe, a leading company in the TIC industry is looking for a Lab Technician for immediate appointment.
KEY DUTIES
- Carrying out laboratory quality tests on grains including physical grading, processed foods and milled products and issuing of quality certificates.
- Keeping records of calibration and maintenance of company laboratory equipment.
- Internal training of field staff on quality control, fumigation and physical grading.
- Perform regular checks on stocks under storage, monitoring quality deterioration, stock rotation ,infestation, shrinkage, moisture loss/gain.
- Carrying out quality audits ( HACCAP) on manufacturing plants.
- Sampling of commodities, labelling and safe keeping of samples.
- Keeping records of weighbridge calibration certificates for all operational sites.
- Participation in inter-laboratory ring tests.
- Carrying out regular calibration and service of laboratory equipment to ensure efficient and accuracy of results.
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Age: 25-35 Years
- Quality Assurance Degree/ Diploma
- Laboratory Management Diploma
- Flour Milling Diploma
- Analytical Chemistry Diploma
- At least 5 years’ experience in similar positions
- Clean class 4 driver’s licence
- Grain Storage, Milling Background is an advantage
- Analytical and research skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
