JOB VACANCY: JUNIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR (SYSTEMS), GRADE C2, INTERNAL AUDIT UNIT.

The Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) is inviting qualified, honest, self-motivated and experienced applicants for the following post: –

Junior Internal Auditor (Systems) – 1 Post

1.0       Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Internal Auditor in the Internal Audit Unit the incumbent will be responsible for the following among other duties:

• Participate in audit planning activities and execute IT audit procedures in line with audit objectives.
• Identify and evaluate IT-related risks that could impact the Authority`s operations, data security and business continuity.
• Utilize the audit software and data analysis tools to extract and manipulate data for audit purposes.
• Perform forensic analysis of IT systems and data.
• Conduct audits of IT systems, including infrastructure, applications and databases to evaluate security controls, data integrity and system reliability.
• Assess the effectiveness of IT controls related to access management, change management, data security and IT governance within the organization.
• Ensure IT systems and processes comply with relevant regulations, industry standards and internal policies through compliance audits.
• Review information security policies, procedures and practices to identify gaps and recommend improvements for data protection.
• Implement continuous monitoring mechanisms to track changes in IT systems, detect emerging risks and ensure ongoing compliance with control requirements.
• Collaborate with IT personnel and management to understand technical aspects of systems, address audit findings and facilitate improvements in controls.
• Track and monitor the status of IT audits recommendations.
• Address urgent audit issues or requests with agility and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Auditing, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Possession of or studying for a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification will be an added advantage.
• At least one (1) year working experience in either Auditing, ICT or Accounting environments.
• IT Systems knowledge – understanding of various IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, databases and applications.
• Proficiency in using audit software(s) and data analytics tools.
• Proactive and self-starter.
