Zuva Petroleum invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of IT SYSTEMS ANALYST based in Harare, reporting to the IT MANAGER.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Translates business requirements into technical requirements.
Formulates and defines system scope and objective based on user needs and understanding of business
processes.
Develops solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
Develops, writes and communicates systems design and functional System Analysis to understand strengths and weaknesses for the identification of improvement opportunities.
Receives technical support calls through the IT Helpdesk, emails and resolves or escalates where necessary.
Monitors the availability and performance of infrastructure systems, and integration with third parties.
Develops, analyses, prioritises, and organises requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow.
Defines and coordinates the execution of testing procedures and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process.
Performs systems tests and analyses test results to ensure the solution meets the needs of the business.
Investigates systems problems and escalates as appropriate.
Performs design, implementation, and upgrades of Information Systems to meet the business and user needs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
A professional qualification in the relevant field is an added advantage.
A minimum of 2 years experience in Information Technology or similar environment.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Ability to supervise and develop staff.
Clear verbal and written communication and ability to prepare accurate reports.
Ability to plan and organise in line with job requirements.
Ability to analyse and solve work related problems to achieve the correct outcomes.
Ability to interact, negotiate (where applicable) and achieve targets.
