IT MANAGER
New Ziana, the national news agency, is seeking a creative and tech-savvy IT Manager with a passion for digital journalism and visual storytelling. The ideal candidate will be responsible for curating, editing, and publishing engaging multimedia content across our online platforms, while also creating compelling graphics that enhance our digital presence. Key Responsibilities:

• Create stunning layouts for our newspaper and digital platforms.
• Overall management of our website and social media platforms.
• Manage multimedia content (videos, photo galleries, podcasts).
• Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Joomla, or HTML, CSS, PHP).
• Troubleshoot website bugs and backend management.
• Assign and manage digital content schedules.
• Shoot and edit engaging audio-visual content and photography, including livestreaming.
• Management of group brand assets.
• Oversee IT operations and provide technical support across the organisation.
• Design newspaper pages and digital content, collaborating with editorial and production teams.
• Manage social media accounts (Facebook, X, TikTok, Telegram, Instagram, WhatsApp Channels) and implement digital marketing strategies to grow online engagement.
• Ensure hardware, software, and network security are up to date and optimised.
• Provide technical assistance to staff, troubleshoot IT issues, and improve overall workflow through technology.
• Keep up with emerging digital trends in media and publishing to enhance audience reach and revenue generation.
• Supervise our new digital team.

Core Competence:

• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite apps.
• Ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
• Proficiency in HTML, MySQL, AWS (server and user access), PHP, and various web browsers and OS platforms.
• Strong understanding of IT security principles, COTS products, and Internet technologies.
• Experience in graphic design applications is an added advantage.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Graphic Design with a focus on media content creation and processing.
• A degree in a related field is an added advantage.
• Social Media Management certification.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar position, demonstrating proven expertise in multimedia editing and content creation.
